Christmas Gift Guide 2023

‘Tis the season of giving, and our new season brochure is here to guide you through the perfect gift ideas for your loved ones—whatever their tastes! From heartwarming performances to cinematic spectacles, join us in celebrating the joy of Christmas.

For the sweet tooths

Indulge your sweet tooth with our feast of culinary delights.

Step into the whimsical world of Willy Wonka as he reveals the extraordinary journey behind his mouth-watering treats. Wonka tells the wondrous story of how the world’s greatest inventor and chocolate-maker became the beloved character we know today.

Still hungry? Get ready to gorge on cake at Spot’s Birthday Party! Based on the beloved children’s books by Eric Hill, this delightful family show will leave you craving more.

And Christmas just wouldn’t be complete with a trip to see The Nutcracker. Marvel at the brilliance of Tchaikovsky’s score as Clara and her enchanted Nutcracker visit the Sugar Plum Fairy in the glittering Kingdom of Sweets.

For the creative souls

Ignite your artistic spark with our collection of Exhibition on Screen films.

Be amazed by the timeless beauty of Klimt & The Kiss, a powerful new film about one of the most recognised and reproduced paintings in the world, before embarking on a magical journey to some of art’s most stunning landscapes with Painting the Modern Garden.

As spring turns to summer, step into the glittering world of fashion, scandal, and shameless self-promotion with John Singer Sargeant, and unravel the history of one of the world’s greatest art galleries with My National Gallery, London.

For the mystery seekers

Expect the unexpected with our line-up of eccentric shows.

Come for a wash, rinse, and spin cycle with The Washing Machine of Destiny – a powerful new play that defies the ordinary with its comic brilliance and knockout soundtrack. Or dive into the bizarre world of Garth Marenghi and his “pitch-perfect parody of terrible genre writing.” (Chortle)

And if you’re in the mood for a dose of conspiratorial humour, buckle up for Dom Joly’s Conspiracy Tourist. He’s travelled the globe searching for some of the strangest theories in existence and is now ready to reveal his juicy findings!

For the rockstars

It’s time to pay homage to the legends of rock and roll!

The Story of Guitar Heroes takes centre stage next month, bringing to life the iconic riffs and solos of some of the most influential guitarists from the past 50 years. Not long after, Cockney Rebel frontman Steve Harley takes to the spotlight with his brand new tour Come Up and See Me… and Other Stories.

Previously voted the ‘Best UK Tribute Band’, Purple Zeppelin also return with a blend of Deep Purple and Led Zeppelin hits. Their music will transport you back to the magic, excitement, and sheer raw energy of a live rock performance.

Plus, don’t miss your chance to experience the evolution of rock through the ages with the The History of Rock, or party with the Women in Rock as they pay tribute to the trailblazing women who have left an indelible mark on the music world.

For the bold and brave

We’re putting you—yes, you!—in the driver’s seat!

Step into the spotlight and be part of the action with the cult hit event Solve-Along-A-Murder-She-Wrote. Jessica Fletcher gets caught up in a sex scandal at the Cabot Cove Salon, which leads to a murder that only she (or you!) can solve!

For a more theatrical adventure, enter the world of You’re Bard! where you—the audience—decide everything, from the play to the performance style, and even which actor plays which part! It’s going to be a real Shakespearean spectacle!

And for the bravest explorers, embark on Dinosaur Adventure Live—the family show with bite! Join a brave team of Rangers for another action packed quest in the all new and exciting show Trouble on Volcano Island.

For the early birds

Beat the holiday rush and secure tickets for next year’s Christmas show!

When the puppet Pinocchio magically springs to life, woodcarver Geppetto is astounded. How could this be? But just as the pair starts to figure out a life together, Pinocchio’s mischievous ways lead him nose-first into an adventure of carnivals, crooks, and crickets, where he must learn what it really means to be real.

With charming original music and captivating puppetry, this fresh retelling of a beloved classic will be a magical experience for all the family. Early birds get the worm, or in this case, the best seats in the house! Book before 31 January and get a fantastic 20% off!*
