Taunton Brewhouse is seeking a new Marketing Manager. This new role is part of our senior management team (SMT), who collaborate on the delivery of the strategic aims and objectives, and activity of Taunton Brewhouse, reflecting our company values, mission, and vision.

We are seeking a collaborative colleague to work closely with the team on the development and elevation of the Brewhouse artistic programme and creative initiatives to reach new and diverse audiences, attract funding and investment, and communicate effectively and creatively with internal and external stakeholders. You will lead on the Marketing and Communication strategy for the Brewhouse, devising campaigns to underpin our organisational resilience. You will be responsible for the Marketing Officer.

Executive Director

Taunton Brewhouse, long-established in Somerset’s County Town, seeks an Executive Director to lead our professional team delivering a broadly based programme of live performance, curated films, art exhibitions and creative activities for all ages.

Reporting to the Board of Trustees of Taunton Theatre Association (TTA), a registered charity, work is based at our purpose-built theatre and arts centre owned by Somerset West and Taunton Council. You will join a team with strengths in building inviting artistic performance and activities programmes, operations, finance and marketing with a technical and facilities team to match.

Duty Manager

Taunton Theatre Association wish to appoint a Duty Manager to be part of the existing Front of House Team. The post holder will be responsible for the smooth running of delegated events at the venue, which will include managing rostered volunteers. The Duty Manager will report to the Operations Manager and will be contracted to work varying hours depending on the needs of the business, managing events or trading operations as required – as such, this role requires a flexible working approach, as shifts may include daytimes, evenings, and weekends.

This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive and resourceful supervisor to become part of a dynamic team of individuals. The ideal candidate will have experience managing volunteers and public events. Applicants should have excellent communication and strong customer service skills. Knowledge of Box Office ticketing systems and the hospitality sector will be an advantage.

Youth Ensemble Chaperones x 6

Taunton Brewhouse are seeking six wonderful individuals to support Taunton Brewhouse’s 2022 Christmas show, The Little Prince. This is a role which will be working directly with the Youth Ensemble, two groups of local young people who will be performing alongside our outstanding professional cast. Full training will be provided, and appropriate licensing will be acquired by Taunton Brewhouse.

You will be responsible for the care and management of each member of the Youth Ensemble, including their health, comfort and moral welfare.  No previous experience necessary, but proven experience of working with young people is preferable.

Taunton Brewhouse is seeking a freelance workshop leader to facilitate two weekly workshops as part of their Learn Programme. This is one of two freelance posts available within the team and is responsible for the facilitation of our Primary School aged young people (KS1-KS2, ages 5-11).

Taunton Brewhouse Youth Theatre (TBYT) is a newly established group which will start at the venue in January 2023 and offers young people the opportunity to learn, perform and explore theatre together. The workshops will have a termly focus and have a multitude of benefits available to the participants.
