This course is for anyone looking to grow as a photographer by learning about posing, light, editing, and interacting from behind the lens. We welcome anyone from novice to aspiring photographers. In this one day session you will learn about understanding light and how to use it to create stunning portraits, choosing the right lens, camera settings, and gear for portrait photography and the art of posing and connecting with your subjects.

The session will happen in the Creative Hub and outside so please come dressed for the weather.

You must have your own SLR camera (not a mobile phone) and be familiar with powering on your camera, taking off the lens cover, and taking a picture. Don’t forget to bring along your memory card!

This is a portrait workshops so please do bring along someone you would like to photograph (your model) or come feeling happy to works as part of the group photographing each other.
