Inspired by the true story of Fairbourne in Wales, Decommissioned is a “heart-warming, comical, and intimate” play about how we’re meant to care for children, fall in love and stay sane while tackling the climate catastrophe.
Two young adults are reunited to tell this story. Gwen is a researcher in climate policy. Elis is a teacher and youth worker. Elis’s job is to look after children, and comfort them in a world that is beginning to change. Gwen’s is to tell the truth about how that change will impact everything they know and love.
