Work Experience Placements 2018

Work Experience for young people in year 10 or 11

  • 2- 6 July 2018: 2 placements available
  • 9 – 13 July 2018: 2 placements available

Work placements are designed to give an insight into the running of a busy theatre and arts centre and are a good way of finding out about working in the arts. We offer a broad overview of the whole venue rather than a placement in a specific department; this means that there is an opportunity to work in programming, box office, marketing, front of house and technical. The work will vary depending on the events we have taking place during the placement. We are looking for enthusiastic young people, who are outgoing and have a genuine interest in the behind the scenes operation of the Brewhouse. Ability to use a computer will be beneficial as well as the confidence to work with the public. A willingness to work hard and as part of a team is essential. We also consider applications from students in Further Education who may have a specific area of interest. Please apply for a placement by writing a letter to Dion Sears, Learning and Participation Manager [email protected] saying why you would like to have a placement at the Brewhouse and what skills you could offer. Deadline for applications 1 March 2018. We would also like a copy of any registration form required by your school or college. Please note all work experience placements are unpaid voluntary positions. The Brewhouse produces its own show at Christmas, but unfortunately, we are unable to offer work experience in make up or costume design, set building or design.
