Families are in for a real treat this February Half Term as we open our doors for an action-packed week of familiar favourites and exciting new workshops.
This month’s programme offers plenty of opportunities to get the family together for fun and creativity.
The adventures start on Sunday 11 February with Framed!, a thrilling family whodunnit bursting with original music, enchanting puppetry, and hilarious clowning. Presented by Exeter-based company PaddleBoat Theatre, Framed! follows the legendary detective Rufus Caper who must catch his arch nemesis Constance Shadows before she commits her next crime. Want to learn how to write your own murder mystery? PaddleBoat Theatre are also hosting a special Mystery Stories Writing Workshop prior to the performance, making it the perfect day out for budding novelists.
If you’d like something with a little more bite, Dinosaur Adventure Live roars onto the stage with the all-new and interactive show Trouble on Volcano Island. Join a team of brave rangers as they attempt to save the island from imminent disaster. The last few tickets for Monday 12 February are on sale.

If you prefer explosions to extinction, you won’t want to miss Ministry of Science. The UK’s favourite research team are back in Taunton on Tuesday 13 February for a deep dive into the world of science. Expect exploding balloons, fire tornados, hydrogen rockets, and even a self-building hovercraft!
To round off the week, we will be running a Junior Detectives Writing Workshop for those aged 8-11. Led by award-winning blogger and author Jo Middleton, this interactive session will see participants gathering clues and lining up suspects, ready to create the beginnings of their very own mystery story. No experience required, just a sense of adventure and a nose for solving crime.
And if that wasn’t enough, we also have an “egg-cellent” selection of family shows coming this Easter. Leaping from page to stage are musical adaptations of Charlie Cook’s Favourite Book, Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, Spot’s Birthday Party, and The Lion Inside, among other seasonal surprises.
Tickets for February Half Term are now sale. Book online at tauntonbrewhouse.co.uk or contact the Box Office on 01823 283244.
