Programming Picks: New Year Favourites

December 31, 2025

Choosing what to see can sometimes feel like standing in front of the snack aisle when you’re hungry: too many good options, not enough time.

So each month, we pull together a handful of shows we’re especially excited about — the ones we’re talking about in the office, recommending to friends, and quietly circling in our own diaries.

This month’s picks have a bit of everything: big sing-along energy, top-tier comedy, cosy cinema trips, and music that wraps you up like a woolly jumper (which is certainly needed in these subarctic temperatures!). Whether you’re planning a proper night out or just fancy something easy and joyful midweek, we’ve got you covered.

Taylor Fever | Sun 25 Jan

Ready to shake it off? Taylor Fever is a full-throttle celebration of one of the biggest pop icons on the planet — and yes, it’s every bit as fun as it sounds.

From Fearless to Midnights, this high-energy, all-ages spectacular races through the eras with pitch-perfect vocals, slick choreography, dazzling costume changes, and all the hits you know (and can sing word-for-word!). It’s been wowing sold-out audiences across the UK, Ireland and Europe for a reason.

Whether you’re a lifelong Swiftie, bringing a mini-Swiftie, or just in it for a joyful night of pop escapism, this is more than a concert – it’s a proper party. Are you ready for it?

Phil Wang & Special Guests! | Fri 30 Jan

Comedy superstar Phil Wang is heading our way for a very special headline set.

You’ll know Phil from his Netflix special Philly Philly Wang Wang, Taskmaster, Live at the Apollo, The Graham Norton Show, and about a million other places where he’s made audiences laugh. Smart, dry, brilliantly observed and effortlessly funny, he’s one of the most exciting voices in stand-up right now.

He’ll be joined by two equally brilliant comedians (names to be announced soon), making this a cracking night of top-tier comedy.

The return of Movie Monday

Our Movie Monday screenings continue to be as popular as ever – and honestly, we get it.

There’s something very special about watching a great film on the big screen, with other people who love cinema just as much as you do. This month’s line-up includes titles such as Blue Moon, Nuremberg, Springsteen: Deliver Me from Nowhere, and Wake Up Dead Man, all for just £5 per ticket. That includes a hot drink, a biscuit, and the chance to stick around for a chat afterwards if you fancy it. No pressure – just good films, good company, and a very cosy start to the week.

Introducing The Folk Series

Finally, we’re excited to be launching our new Folk Series, running throughout the year and rooted firmly in everything we love about the genre.

Set in our intimate Studio space, these shows are all about close harmonies, beautiful acoustics, and that warm, fuzzy feeling you only get from live folk music. As a Somerset venue, folk feels woven into our landscape – stories, songs, and sounds that feel both timeless and right at home.

Expect thoughtful songwriting, gentle moments, and nights that feel unhurried and special. Bring a friend, grab a drink, and settle in. This season’s acts include Tarren, The Ciderhouse Rebellion, and Ross Grant and Hartwin Dhoore.

Whatever you’re in the mood for this month, we hope you find something that feels just right. These events are made to be shared, enjoyed, and remembered, so pick your favourites, make a plan, and give yourself something to look forward to. We’ll have the lights on, the seats ready, and a brilliant night waiting for you.
