From dynamic dance sessions to thrilling summer schools, there’s something for everyone to explore their artistic passions.
For the young and young-at-heart, weekly classes include Creative Movement, an all-abilities dance class that promotes self-expression and movement exploration, Contemporary Dance, Ballet, and even a Community Choir that perform a range of English folk songs, madrigals, and choral classics.
Children can let their imaginations soar at the venue’s popular Youth Theatre, get creative at a monthly Art Club, and unleash their energy at Tiny Dancers, a creative play class for under 5s.
Alongside the weekly classes runs a series of artistic workshops, covering everything from polymer clay jewellery and portrait photography to creative writing and paper quilling.
But wait, there’s more! For those looking to fully immerse themselves in the creative experience, the theatre offers two exciting new summer schools. From 12 – 16 August, young people aged 8+ can explore a range of disciplines including willow weaving and digital illustration at the Visual Arts Summer School. It’s the ultimate creative package, complete with guidance from professional artists.
The following week, West End star May Tether (Heathers, Gypsy in Concert, A Very Very Bad Cinderella) leads a show-stopping Musical Theatre School, helping aspiring actors to develop key acting skills, before performing to family and friends as part of a sharing in the Studio Theatre.
