Join us for a relaxing, hands-on workshop where you’ll learn to craft a beautiful domed plant support — perfect for peas, peonies, or delphiniums — or make a taller, sturdy frame for climbing beans.
Guided step by step, you’ll discover traditional willow weaving techniques with Amanda and take home a unique, practical piece for your garden.
Whether you’re a total beginner or have some willow experience, this workshop is a lovely way to spend a few creative hours in the Brewhouse Creative Hub, meet like-minded people, and add a touch of handmade charm to your garden beds.
About your workshop leader:
“I fell in love with willow at Christmas 2000 when I was a student in a willow weaving workshop, and it has been my material of choice ever since. The willow I use is grown on the Somerset Levels within a mile of my house making it a local and sustainable material. However, being a full-time teacher weaving was just a hobby as I never had the time to fully commit to my art. That all changed in 2022 when after 33 years of teaching I retired and started Amanda Webb Makes creating and selling my sculptures along with sharing my passion through teaching people of all ages how to weave in my workshops.”
