Andrew Powell-Thomas, historian and author of The West Country’s Last Line of Defence: Taunton Stop Line, presents a talk on the network of WWII pillbox defences that form the Taunton Stop Line – 50 miles of around 400 rudimentary structures stretching from the North Somerset coast to Axmouth in Devon – and what still exists of it today.
