The Little Prince – Ensemble Auditions (9-17 Years)

ABOUT THE SHOW

Run away to the circus this Christmas with Taunton Brewhouse and Metta Theatre’s extraordinary circus musical The Little Prince from award-winning writer/director Poppy Burton-Morgan and composer Candida Caldicot.

We are looking for fearless and enthusiastic performers aged 9-25 to join the production and perform alongside some of Europe’s most exciting circus artists. As it’s both a circus show and a musical, we are looking for a range of skills so if you only have one or the other please do still apply!

Following the story of Antoine De Saint Exupery’s novel, we meet a stranded pilot and her friend the Little Prince, alongside a host of other colourful characters from snakes and foxes to lamplighters and kings – creating a wild array of landscapes and planetary realities with nothing more than a few props and the human body.

This will be very ensemble-based work so aside from physical skills (singing, dancing, circus, gymnastics, trampolining, parkour) we are looking for enthusiastic young people who can work well in a team and are playful and open to new ideas and approaches. To apply, click here.

Auditions: September 3 & 4 2022 – you will only be required to attend one date
Rehearsals Introductory Week (Daytime): 24-28 October 2022
Evening Rehearsals: 8, 10, 15, 17, 21, 22, 24, 20 November 2022; 1, 2 December 2022
Daytime Weekend Rehearsals – 12, 19, 26 November 2022; 3 December 2022
Performances: 6-30 December 2022 (various start times)
