During this 4 week workshop you will learn to create beautiful coastal inspired prints exploring a variety of mono printing, collagraph and Gelli Plate Printing techniques.
We will be making our own beach inspired stencils, applying acrylic paints, posca pens to the gelli plate and explore layering techniques, to create fascinating shapes and patterns in your final prints and testing prints on a variety of surfaces. Taking inspiration from a collection of beach treasures, you will get the chance to experiment with leaves, feathers, seaweed, shells and other found objects to recreate the captivating textures and colours of nature.
By the end of the course, you will have the opportunity to transform your designs into prints or greeting cards to take home with you.
While leaves, seaweed, shells and feathers will be provided, you are welcome to bring some of your own. A variety of sizes and shapes will make a pleasing composition.
Whether you are a beginner or an experienced artist looking to try new techniques, this course is suitable for everyone. No drawing skills are required.
