“I fell in love with willow at Christmas 2000 when I was a student in a willow weaving workshop, and it has been my material of choice ever since. The willow I use is grown on the Somerset Levels within a mile of my house making it a local and sustainable material. However, being a full-time teacher weaving was just a hobby as I never had the time to fully commit to my art. That all changed in 2022 when after 33 years of teaching I retired and started Amanda Webb Makes creating and selling my sculptures along with sharing my passion through teaching people of all ages how to weave in my workshops.” Amanda Webb.
