Over the course of five thrilling, fun-filled days, Dorsetborn Theatre will work with young people (11yrs-17yrs) to devise, develop, and perform short plays in response to their new play Fort, written by Tabitha Hayward for this year’s Theatre-Making Summer School.

Set entirely on a hillfort, Fort explores the challenges and responsibilities of young people today in more isolated rural settings. Fort also examines the impact which place, family and the past can have on who you become.

This year’s Theatre-Making Summer School promises to be an exciting week where the participants will have the freedom to express their creativity and make friends. It will also be an awesome opportunity to learn transferrable skills such as decision-making and working artistically as part of a team.

Theatre-Making Summer School will run from Monday 14 August – Friday 18 August, 10:30-15:30 each day, with an informal sharing at 16:00 on Friday 18 August. Information about the informal sharing will be shared with participants during the week of the Summer School.
