Create a simple and stunning hand stitched boro bag with recycled Japanese kimono fabrics.
Derived from the Japanese term ‘boroboro’, which refers to the practice of reworking textiles, this is a mindful hand stitch technique which can also be applied to all manner of textiles and creations.
ABOUT THE WORKSHOP LEADER:
The workshop will be led by Pam Smith (Somerset Stitch) – a local stitch maker with a passion for creativity and all things Somerset. Working with textiles is very much in her genes, and in recent years she has spent many enjoyable hours experimenting with the creative potential of sewing machines and a good quality needle and thread.
