Denim Rag Rug

Join textile artist Jill Denton for a hands-on creative session turning old denim into something beautiful and useful. Learn how to make your own denim doormat or comfy chair cushion using simple rag rug techniques. This workshop is perfect for beginners or anyone who enjoys sustainable making.

We’re delighted to be partnering with RAFT (Refugee Aid For Taunton) for this event. The materials we’ll be using come from RAFT’s warehouse, where denim clothing beyond repair and jumble sale leftovers are saved from landfill. You’re also welcome to bring your own fabrics if you prefer.
