Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra’s stylish Viennese Gala this year takes a trip from Vienna to Kyiv with BSO Chief Conductor, Kirill Karabits, folk singer, Ruslana Lotsman and a selection of specially arranged traditional Ukrainian folk songs.
Music by Mussorgsky and Rimsky-Korsakov and three of Tchaikovsky’s most famous ballet waltzes from Sleeping Beauty, The Nutcracker and Swan Lake, sit alongside favourites by Johann Strauss II including the Thunder and Lightning Polka, Emperor Waltz and The Blue Danube.
