A Christmas Carol Ensemble Applications (9-17 Years)

We’re on the lookout for 24 sensational young people aged between 9-17 years* to join the Ensemble for our brand new musical, A Christmas Carol.

Travel with us on a journey through the past, present, and future and help us tell the story of a cold Christmas Eve when the heartless Ebeneezer Scrooge is visited by the ghost of his former business partner, Jacob Marley, and three spirits – each with an important message.

Inspired by Charles Dickens’ classic yuletide tale, and thrillingly adapted for the stage by the acclaimed Pleasure Dome Theatre Company, this joyous retelling will fright and delight audiences of all ages. Expect enchanting puppetry, original music, and a sprinkling of holiday magic.

This year’s Ensemble will play a number of roles across the production, with some young people being cast in the following named roles (in addition to other parts): Tiny Tim / Belinda / Young Scrooge / Young Fan / Adolescent Fan / Martha / Daughter / Peter

Applications close at midnight on Thursday 11 May 2023 so be sure to get your application to us in good time. Due to popular demand, we will not be able to offer auditions to every application we receive but endeavour to see as many young people as we can.

Shortly after the closing date, you will be contacted via email about whether or not your young person will be invited to audition. Auditions will take place at Taunton Brewhouse on Sunday 18 June 2023. Click here to apply.
